What Is Hyatt?
Hyatt is a globally recognized hospitality company that operates a chain of luxury hotels, resorts, and vacation properties. Founded in 1957 by Jay Pritzker, Hyatt has grown into one of the leading hotel brands in the world, known for its exceptional service, upscale accommodations, and diverse portfolio of brands.
Hyatt offers a range of hotel experiences to cater to different travelers’ needs and preferences.
Their brands include Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, and more. Each brand has its unique style and atmosphere, offering distinct amenities and services.
Hyatt hotels are renowned for their attention to detail, elegant design, and dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences.
From luxurious resorts in breathtaking locations to stylish urban hotels, Hyatt properties aim to create memorable stays for both leisure and business travelers.
They are also committed to sustainability and social responsibility, striving to minimize their environmental impact and support local communities through initiatives such as responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and community engagement programs.
With a global presence spanning across six continents, Hyatt has a vast network of hotels and resorts in numerous countries, offering travelers a wide range of choices and destinations to explore.
Does Hyatt Serve Breakfast?
Hyatt Hotels generally serve breakfast to their guests. Breakfast options may vary depending on the specific hotel, its location, and the hotel’s dining offerings. Many Hyatt hotels provide breakfast service as part of their standard amenities or as an add-on option for guests.
The breakfast options at Hyatt hotels can range from continental breakfasts with pastries, cereals, fruits, and beverages to more extensive buffet-style spreads that include hot and cold items such as eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles, and a variety of other breakfast dishes.
Some Hyatt hotels may have on-site restaurants or cafes where breakfast is served, while others may offer in-room dining options or a combination of both.
The specific breakfast offerings, hours, and service style can vary from one hotel to another, so it’s advisable to check with the specific Hyatt hotel you plan to stay at for accurate and up-to-date information about their breakfast service.
It’s worth noting that Hyatt loyalty program members, particularly those in higher tiers such as Globalist, may be eligible for complimentary breakfast as a membership benefit.
Hyatt Breakfast Hours
Breakfast hours within this franchise generally range between 6:30 am and 9 am on weekdays. On the weekends, breakfast starts at 7 am and ends at 10 am, giving you some extra time to sleep in.
Keep in mind that depending on the location and time of year, these times may vary.
From what we could find, Hyatt does not serve all-day breakfasts at any of their establishments.
Hyatt Breakfast Menu
The breakfast menu at these establishments also varies quite drastically. And because Hyatt is focused on being more environmentally friendly, the menus may even differ based on seasonality and what’s available locally.
The guide we’ve compiled below is just that: a guide. This is what many of their menus will offer for breakfast. But we’ve found many variations that drastically differ.
It’s similar to how Mcdonald’s in the United States offers 1 type of fish dish but in Asia, there are ten different fish dishes. The target market differs and local cuisine differs.
In Hyatt establishments in Mexico, you may find Mexican-flavored or inspired dishes. But in Hyatt Los Angelos, you may find more traditional breakfast options like a continental breakfast.
But again, for more specific information about breakfast hours and breakfast menus, call your booked location directly.
Also, note that breakfast is usually free for World Of Hyatt members or if you booked a room directly through Hyatt. This may not be the case if you’ve booked through other portals, like Bookings.com or Agoda.
Breakfast Buffets
Many of the branches offer a breakfast buffet. Again, for some bookings, it may be free, whilst for others it can cost around $29 per person.
This menu will usually include some form of eggs (like Eggs Benedict, scrambled, or fried eggs), breakfast meats (bacon or sausages), and pancakes.
You should also receive a selection of fruits, cheese, charcuterie, and baked goods. From what we could find, baked goods generally include scones, croissants, muffins, bagels, breads, and danishes.
In terms of beverages, you can choose between a selection of teas, coffees, juices, and specialized drinks depending on where you are. Some beverages are excluded from the price.
Continental Breakfast
If your Hyatt hotel doesn’t serve breakfast buffets, there is almost certainly a Continental breakfast menu.
Again, the cost depends on the booking you’ve made and your location. Some bookings include a free continental breakfast, whilst others may charge around $10-12 depending on the menu.
A classic Hyatt Continental breakfast will likely include a variety of cereals including cornflakes, Rice Krispies, Weetabix, CocoPops, hot porridge, and homemade granola.
You will also likely find fruit salads, baked goods like croissants, and a variety of yogurts.
For drinks, you have the usual selection of seasonal and local juices, tea, and coffee. Specialty coffees (like Cappuccinos) are usually charged extra.
Traditional Full Irish Breakfast
If you’re lucky, you may be able to find an Irish breakfast at your hotel. This breakfast is usually charged extra because of its substantial portion. It includes free-range eggs, bacon, puddings, sausages, tomatoes, and mushrooms.
Popular a La Carte Menu Items
Even if you don’t stay at a Hyatt hotel, you can still enjoy some of their A La Carte breakfast menu dishes.
We wouldn’t say that there’s anything special about this menu, and it mostly contains classic options like waffles, pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict, and seasonal fruit.
But what does make this menu option arguably one of our favorites is the local delights they offer.
For example, at their Kokau branch, they offer Breakfast Burritos, Egg Arepas, and Colombiano (which is a rice, bean, plantain, avocado, and egg breakfast).
You’ll find similar specialties at different locations. The dishes are 100% dependent on local cuisine, produce, and what is seasonally available.
Does Hyatt Hotels Cater for Dietary Restrictions?
Yes, Hyatt Hotels generally cater to dietary restrictions and can accommodate various dietary needs. They understand that guests may have specific dietary requirements or preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, or specific food allergies.
When making a reservation or during the check-in process, it’s advisable to inform the hotel staff about any dietary restrictions you have. This allows them to make necessary arrangements and provide suitable options for your meals, including breakfast.
Hyatt hotels typically have trained chefs and staff who are experienced in handling dietary requests. They can offer alternatives or modifications to accommodate your needs.
However, it’s always a good idea to communicate your dietary restrictions in advance to ensure that the hotel can make appropriate arrangements to meet your needs during your stay.
To get the most accurate and personalized information regarding dietary accommodations, it’s recommended to contact the specific Hyatt hotel you plan to stay at before your arrival.
The hotel staff will be able to provide you with detailed information and make the necessary arrangements to ensure your dietary needs are met.
Do Hyatt Members Get a Free Breakfast?
Yes, some Hyatt loyalty program members may be eligible for complimentary breakfast as a benefit of their membership.
However, it’s important to note that the specific breakfast benefit can vary depending on the membership tier and the terms and conditions of the loyalty program.
Hyatt has a loyalty program called World of Hyatt, which offers different membership tiers: Discoverist, Explorist, Globalist, and Lifetime Globalist.
Complimentary breakfast is a standard benefit for Globalist members, who enjoy the highest tier of membership. Globalist members receive daily complimentary breakfast for themselves and one guest registered in the same room, regardless of whether the hotel is a full-service Hyatt property or a Hyatt Place/Hyatt House hotel.
For Discoverist and Explorist members, complimentary breakfast is not a guaranteed benefit, but it may be offered as a promotion or based on availability at select hotels.
Members in these tiers should check the specific terms and conditions of their membership or contact the hotel directly to inquire about any potential breakfast benefits.
It’s important to note that the breakfast benefit is subject to availability and may vary depending on the specific hotel, region, and other factors.
