No-Bake Banana Cookies
Preparing desserts at home is often a time-consuming task. It seems much easier to open a package of commercial cookies and voila, but these types of cookies contain a lot of sugar, saturated fat, and almost no fiber.
You can change this quickly and easily by making these no-bake banana cookies.
Ingredients For Banana No-Bake Cookies
The first ingredient is banana. This fruit is delicious and full of potassium. They are excellent to start the day on the right foot.
Then there is the chocolate. For this recipe, we prefer dark chocolate. Dark chocolate contains a high number of flavonoids, which helps to improve the function of the cardiovascular system and gives us a feeling of happiness and fullness.
One of the most important ingredients of these cookies is oatmeal. We recommend using rolled oats for the best texture, but you can use whatever you have in your pantry (except steel-cut oats).
We also add a little peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla. If you want you can use Stevia or any other natural sweetener.
Some prefer to use Nutella or coconut butter instead of peanut butter. These are both great options. Just make sure to use the same ratio as described in this recipe, and you’ll be golden!
No-Bake Cookie Add-Ins and Substitutions
Although bananas and chocolate have an intense and characteristic flavor, a good dessert is made up of several flavors. The range of flavors is what enriches the palate and makes a dessert go from simple to exquisite.
For this, you can use the spices that you have available in your kitchen. The most common options are vanilla, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg. You can use a pinch of each to get a unique flavor.
Alternatively, you can use the zest of lemon, lime, or orange.
Another way to add extra density to a dessert is to add different textures. If you’d like to try something different, try incorporating some chopped nuts into the cookies.
This is the type of recipe that can be prepared with your eyes closed. No matter what combination of ingredients that you choose, you will have a delicious cookie that’s full of fiber and flavor.
You just have to melt the chocolate, crush the banana, mix everything very well with the sweetener, and place spoonfuls on a tray.
It is ideal to have a silicone mold or waxed paper so that you can easily take off the cookies.
In case you don’t have wax paper, you can sprinkle a little flour or starch on a cookie tray to easily peel them off.
These cookies are ideal as a complement to breakfast or as a mid-afternoon snack. It’s a good idea to make enough of these cookies to store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Step 1: Gather your ingredients.
Step 2: Mix the milk and grated or shaved chocolate.
In a mixing bowl, add the milk and the grated chocolate. Stir well with a spoon until all the chocolate has been moistened.
Step 3: Microwave the chocolate and milk for 10–15 seconds.
Place the container in the microwave for ten to fifteen seconds, in the defrost function. When melting chocolate in the microwave, always use this feature to prevent chocolate from burning.
Carefully remove from the microwave and stir with a spoon or a whisk. Make sure the chocolate is completely melted. If the chocolate is not well melted, microwave it again for an additional 10 seconds.
Step 4: Mix the melted chocolate, sugar, and spices. Stir very well.
Step 4: Mash the banana and add it to the mix along with the oats. Mix well.
Step 5: Place spoonfuls of the dough onto a cookie sheet or silicone mold.
I used a silicone mold to make these cookies, but you can use whatever you have on hand. An easy method is to place the mixture in tablespoons on a tray covered with wax paper.
