Summertime is all about cheerful cocktails with happy and colorful garnishes, but sometimes we need a cocktail that screams LUXURY!

This rich and creamy pistachio martini is all about luxury thanks to the decadent pistachio liqueur.

This is a perfect signature drink to offer at your summer party, but it’s also ideal for sipping by the fireplace on a chilly winter night.

The pistachios will evoke a summer feeling, while the cocktail’s creaminess is just perfect even on cold nights.

What Is A Pistachio Martini?

Despite being served in a classic martini glass, a pistachio martini differs quite a bit from a traditional one!

The classic martini is made with gin and vermouth, then garnished with an olive or a lemon twist.

This pistachio martini is made with white chocolate and pistachio liqueurs along with vodka. The rim of the glass has a thin layer of white chocolate which has been dipped in chopped pistachios for a garnish.

Can I Turn This Into A Mocktail?

You can easily turn this martini into a mocktail with 6 ounces of milk, a scoop of softened pistachio ice cream, a dash of vanilla extract, and a bit of pistachio extract.

Allow the ice cream to melt slightly, then shake with ice in a cocktail shaker. Serve in a garnished martini glass as described.

Can I Add More Flavors?

To make this martini even more of a crowd-pleaser, you can use vanilla-flavored vodka instead of plain vodka.

Also, for a more prominent pistachio flavor, add pistachio extract — just not more than ¼ tsp of it. It will be ideal for two servings!

Should A Martini Be Shaken Or Stirred?

While martinis can technically be shaken or stirred, this one needs a good shake to make sure all ingredients come together. This step also ensures that the martini is well-chilled from the ice cubes!

Practice your best bartender shake by holding the cocktail shaker with both of your hands. You will know the martini is chilled when the outside of the shaker is frosted.

How To Garnish A Martini Glass

To garnish a martini glass, you will need some melted white chocolate and chopped pistachios.

Place the melted white chocolate on a plate and the chopped pistachios on the second plate. Dip the glass rim into the white chocolate and then into the finely chopped pistachios.

You can then pop the glass into a freezer for a few minutes while you make the martini. Just don’t leave it in there too long!

Sip Slowly

A pistachio martini is a delicious drink that is easy to drink. The pistachio liqueur and white chocolate liqueur are both sweet, which makes you feel as though you are drinking a sweet milkshake rather than a potent martini.

However, this entire martini is composed of alcohol, so you should sip it slowly.

Also, keep an eye on any nearby kids — this martini may look attractive to them thanks to the color and garnish, but they obviously cannot have this tasty treat.

All the more reason to put them to bed and mix this up for yourself in peace!
